Anchoring in Sweden
On August 26, Ocean Community will launch Ocean Community Sweden in Stockholm, establishing a strong Nordic anchor for ocean innovation, blue economy collaboration, and international ecosystem building.
Ocean Community is anchored in Portugal and Sweden, with global reach across more than 70 countries and more than 10,000 friends and members. Since 2020, we have supported more than 60 ocean innovators and startups from 50 countries through our own expertise, network, and resources.
Igniting the ecosystem
The evening is designed to convene and ignite Sweden’s blue innovation ecosystem, bringing together founders, investors, industry, research, policy and ecosystem builders to strengthen Sweden’s blue economy and connect it more actively across the Nordics and beyond.
This is not the launch of another industry cluster, government platform or accelerator. Ocean Community Sweden is being created as a partner-driven ecosystem platform for Swedish Blue Solutions, connecting ventures, capital, industry, research, and policy so that Sweden can play a stronger role in the Nordic and global blue economy.

Sweden already has strong ocean leaders and a growing wave of blue startups. Now it is time to build the collaborative platform that can unite this potential, accelerate new ventures and help Sweden play a stronger role in the global blue economy.
About the event
Ocean Community Sweden Launch is an invitation-only evening for 100 selected participants from Sweden’s emerging blue innovation ecosystem. The evening brings together founders, investors, industry leaders, researchers, policy shapers and ecosystem builders to connect around the next wave of ocean innovation.
The evening will provide an opportunity to dive into the current state of Sweden’s blue innovation ecosystem, explore emerging opportunities, identify partnership potential and begin shaping shared priorities for the journey ahead.
