Meet the team
We are a group of ocean-lovers dedicated to rebuilding our oceans. We want to inspire people to see the opportunities that the ocean has to offer and encourage them to explore how emerging technologies could help to solve one of our time’s most critical issue.
We are working with a fast “design-build-test” approach, encouraging participants to develop prototype solutions. Based on our diverse backgrounds, unique knowledge and exceptional partner network, we support our participants in all aspects of their innovation process.

Growing up on the West coast of Norway, the ocean has always been - and still is - Celine’s playground. Despite her young age, Celine has worked for a tech startup in Silicon Valley, conducted a traineeship at the Norwegian Embassy in Lisbon, worked as a project manager at Peniche Ocean Watch, and studied innovation at UC Berkeley. Celine is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in finance alongside her role as program manager for OCC.
Kaja recently moved to Peniche, Portugal to finish her Master of Graphic Design and to enjoy living near the coast. Originally from Ljubljana, Slovenia, she travels as much as possible, capturing memories with her camera along the way. In love with the details, color harmonies and old towns, Kaja is passionate about graphic and web design, working with international clients and improving her skills all the time.
After having sailed to Greenland and Antarctica, Pia became the first Scandinavian to race single handed across the Atlantic in 2003. Her biggest concern was not wind or lack of sleep but to sail into ghost fishing nets in the middle of the ocean, which would require diving into the net to cut free, or to hit one of the thousands of containers lost at sea from container ships each year. Pia is a serial entrepreneur, ocean sailor and innovation coach, and she is passionate about oceans, sailing, innovation and digitalization.
Adilson has a long-standing connection with the ocean, clean water and natural resources, having been raised under a strict training schedule in the swimming pool, and spent countless weekends fishing. A true water lover, that never misses an opportunity to put the bathing shorts on. Currently pursuing a M.Sc. in Business and Economics with a major in Financial Management, and having previously worked at a consultancy, he is passionate about sustainable business solutions and innovation.
