Based in India, this innovative start-up is transforming aquaculture with cutting-edge nano-encapsulation technology that delivers nutrients with precision. With a current focus on shrimp feed, Nutricape ensures essential nutrients are absorbed at optimal rates, while minimising nutrient leaching into water systems.

Shrimp farming faces two great challenges: poor nutrient absorption and water pollution. Many essential nutrients in shrimp feed, like vitamins and enzymes, are heat-sensitive and degrade during pelletization. Even when retained, they’re often not absorbed by the shrimp and instead leach into the water, driving eutrophication, algal blooms, and declining shrimp health. This reduces farm profitability and harms coastal ecosystems.

That is where Nutricape comes in. Using nano-carrier systems produced through millifluidics technology, Nutricape encapsulates nutrients in protective shells that shield them during processing and ensure targeted release in the shrimp gut. The result? Better nutrient uptake, faster shrimp growth, reduced water pollution, and a more sustainable aquaculture industry.

Nutricape stands out by addressing the root cause of inefficiency in shrimp feed—not by adding more nutrients, but by delivering them smarter. While most competitors focus on enrichment, their nano-carrier system ensures nutrients are protected during processing and released precisely where shrimp can absorb them.
